Discover
Custom-built, modern, and streamlined point of entry for existing B2B partners and emerging fintech firms.
The Challenge
Discover is seeking a modern & streamlined point of entry for both new and existing B2B partners. Ultimately, these partners will be able to explore Discover’s API products and engage with Discover more easily.
The Solution
West Monroe worked with Discover from the start of this digital product journey, creating a strategy to serve existing partners more efficiently, identifying gaps that prevented emerging partners from engaging with Discover, and defining a roadmap to execute on the initial release of the “Partner Product Portal” to address these needs.
To transition from strategy to delivery, West Monroe facilitated reaching agreement on technology decisions and goals for the initial release within the core Discover team. We then helped Discover tell the story visually throughout the organization – first by rapidly iterating on visual designs, then by delivering usable product functionality from the first sprint.
My Role & Contribution
I was one of two designers on the project, which led to me being hands on across the product development lifecycle.
1
2
Participated in weekly iteration syncs, co-creation sessions, and workshops.
3
Created the high-fidelity interactive designs and presented them to clients/stakeholders.
Results you can measure.
We created detailed architecture, including technology recommendations for custom components as well as a design for leveraging Discover’s existing Salesforce instance as part of the solution to reduce effort and integrate into the sales process.
We set up environment infrastructure, continuous delivery pipelines, and created initial development patterns for Discover’s go-forward technology stack of React front-end with Node/Prisma back-end.
We delivered real, usable features from Sprint 1, and put them in front of Discover stakeholder teams to begin soliciting actionable feedback.
